Agoraphobic step into grayscale - the capture from Mariansky bridge (yes, this is THAT object you have seen on my previous panoramas). The doggie isn't mine, I just had the luck to meet man who was waling the dog there.

It was strange and calm atmosphere since bridge was just closed for traffic so it looked almost abandoned - no traffic, no people, no sound. Just the flooded river underneath.

I am in love with the symmetry of this picture. The lone dog really sets the tone of a lonely town.

how did you use an aperture of 11 if you used the stock Canon EF-S 18-55 / F3.5-5.6?

anyway excellent shot :+fav:-ed

F3.5-F5.6 dosn't mean lower and upper level :D It is only maximum aperture you can set on 18 mm and 55 mm.

I can't decide whether this is an architectural photo or an animal photo (though I like both). Nevertheless it's an amazing photo. Very strong, and it makes the little poor poodle look tiny. As a photographer still learning basic stuff I love deviantArt for having so many inspirational artists as yourself. =)

Maybe it's partically a document too. It was captured in the day this bridge was closed because of flood.

I love the tones and the crisp details. The perspective is impressive, emphasised by the supports travelling towards the apex of the beams. I also love the symmetry of the shot which works really well. The sky is also lovely. At first I wasn't sure what sort of animal it was but the little dog completes the photo nicely. It sort of looks like a monkey.

And in the meantime some photographers assert that a 350D and above all a 18*55 lens gives shitty shots... :D
Great shot, and excellent conversion in BW.. good and rich contrasts!

Stunning capture, seriously. The almost microscopic dog walking along only adds to the intense detail. It's apparent you have an eye for light and angle... my hat's off to you for this one, seriously :floating:
