Kind of self portrait. At least I hope I looklike this way in this angle :giggle:

Photoshop CS + Wacom Graphire 2 tablet (A6)
Around 30-40 hours
No reference used :phew:

Yet another lesson for me to reach next painting level. Strange, this time it wasn't painful to paint without reference. I found there are only few principles which has to be respected and after understaning them it's quite easy to paint them. Somehow it gaves me an artistic freedom.

Several corrections has been made. Big thanks to the fellow members from GFXartist who gave me thoughtful critiques :thanks:

Critiques (even nitpicking) are welcome and appreciated

This is a gorgeous painting. I love the slightly hidden building off in the distance, obscured by the fog.

Tell the true story of fantasy through your Imagination. Create in recollection and amazement for yourself.

I love what you do. Concerning Afternoon in Utopia, are you a fan of Alphaville? Plus, how did u learn to paint like this?

Yes some songs from Alphaville belongs to my favorite. Especially from "Afternoon in Utopia".

Hmm, thinking about learning to paint - it developped through experiments. Two important aspects: to be able to abserve how things behave, especially their shape and way how light touching them. And second aspect is to be able to work with brush - mostly it's only about to decide correct diameter of the brush and wheter the tool shall make the certain area brighter or darker.
